Norbar TTL-HE Instrument and Transducer Kits

There are four Norbar TTL-HE Instrument and Transducer Kits available consisting of Norbar’s TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite for Harsh Environments, a Norbar HE Static Transducer, a lead and carry case. These kits can be used to measure torque and are suitable for use in harsh environments with high levels of humidity, water/ salt water spray and dust. Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite for Harsh Environments Description

As mentioned above, the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite can be used with Norbar’s HE Transducers to measure torque. When used with one of these transducers the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite has an ingress protection rating of IP65/67 and is suitable for use on oil rigs/ refineries and ship decks.

When used on site, the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite may be powered using its rechargeable battery or via an AC supply, allowing the user to tailor the instrument to his/her surroundings, and expanding the TTL-HE's scope-for-use. 

This instrument includes ten measurement modes and six modes of operation. The required mode of operation can be easily engaged via the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite’s pictorial front panel. It is possible to set the frequency response of each of the six modes of operation, allowing the user to tailor the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite to his/her requirements. Furthermore, the Pulse Count function can be used when the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite is placed in either Impulse Tool or Clutch Tool mode.

In addition to this, the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite is able to display measurements in thirteen units of torque and is also equipped with a User Units feature allowing the operator to specify his/her preferred measurement units (up to a maximum of six characters). Moreover, the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite is able to accommodate up to twelve programmable measurement limits.

It is also possible to configure this instrument to display information in one of eleven languages, again adding to the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite’s adaptability. All user-selectable features are password protected, removing the possibility of accidental alteration and ensuring consistency between measurements.

The Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite has a Class 1 accuracy over the 'primary' classification range (±0.5% of the reading from 20 to 100% of the full scale) and has a five-digit resolution when used with compatible Norbar HE Transducers. Both the Norbar HE Transducers and the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite can be calibrated in clockwise and anti-clockwise directions.

The Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite for Harsh Environments provides all the features and functions present on Norbar’s TTT and TST Torque/ Screwdriver Testers within a unit that has been optimised for use in harsh environments. It is ideal for the oil and gas industry.

Norbar HE Static Transducers Description

Like the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite, the Norbar HE Static Transducers have a Class 1 accuracy over the ‘primary’ classification range (±0.5% of the reading from 20% to 100% of the full scale). Similarly, these transducers have an IP rating of 65/67 and can be calibrated in both directions (clockwise and anti-clockwise).

These stainless steel Norbar HE Static Transducers with Smart intelligence have been specifically designed for use with the aforementioned Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite. Like this torque instrument, the Norbar HE Static Transducers are suitable for use in harsh environments, such as those commonly encountered within the oil and gas industry
