The Norbar TST Screwdriver Testers are designed for testing and calibrating low-capacity torque tools, such as screwdrivers. They are available in three models that vary in regards to their measurement ranges; please see the table below for further details.
Model Code | Model Name | Range |
NOR-43212 | Norbar 43212 TST 2 Screwdriver Tester | 0.04 - 2 N.m |
NOR-43213 | Norbar 43213 TST 10 Screwdriver Tester | 0.5 - 10 N.m |
NOR-43214 | Norbar 43214 TST 25 Screwdriver Tester | 1.25 - 25 N.m |
Each of these instruments has a Class 1 system accuracy over its primary range (±0.5% of the reading from 20% to 100% of the full scale). These tools are also supplied with a clockwise UKAS calibration (anti-clockwise calibrations are available, please see 'Accessories' for details).
These instruments feature a number of modes allowing the user to tailor the Norbar TST Screwdriver Testers to his/her requirements. These modes include:
In addition to these operational modes, the Norbar TST Screwdriver Testers include a limit detection feature. This setting allows the user to enter up to eight target torque values, the TST tester will then ascertain the screwdriver's torque and will issue a low, pass or fail indication.
Further to this, the Norbar TST Screwdriver Testers include a pulse count feature for use in the Impulse and Clutch Tool modes.
It is easy to select the required mode or feature using the Norbar TST Screwdriver Testers' pictorial display panels. The user may also configure the Norbar TST Screwdriver Testers to support a specified frequency response for each mode of operation; he/she can also program the testers to display measurements in the units of his/her choice. The user’s chosen settings, modes of operation and measurement units are password protected, thereby helping to reduce the possibility of errors caused by the operator.
Results can be read via the Norbar TST Screwdriver Testers’ displays; alternatively, data may be outputted to a printer or PC via the supplied RS232-C data interface connection. When the Norbar TST Screwdriver Testers are used in Track mode data will be outputted continuously via the RS-232 interface (maximum of eleven readings per second).
In addition to exporting data, the Norbar TST Screwdriver Testers also issue a digital limit state output, allowing the user to control external tools used with these instruments. Moreover, their analogue output makes the Norbar TST Screwdriver Testers suitable for performance analysis applications as they can be integrated into process control systems.
The Norbar TST Screwdriver Testers themselves consist of an internal transducer and a rundown fixture; however, these tools can be used with an external transducer due to the inclusion of an external transducer interface. This interface is accessed via a two-way switch and facilitates the connection of all of Norbar’s ‘SMART’ range transducers, as well as a majority of mV/V calibrated transducers. The calibration details of up to twenty SMART or mV/V transducers can be saved to the Norbar TST Screwdriver Testers’ memories.
Finally, the Norbar TST Screwdriver Testers are supplied with a fast charge internal battery pack (takes three hours and twenty minutes to reach full charge) and a ¼” female hex to ¼” female square adapter, as well as a carry case. It is also possible to power the Norbar TST Screwdriver Testers using an AC supply (90 to 264V).
The Norbar TST Screwdriver Testers are comprehensive, adaptable and reliable torque testers and calibrators. They are ideal for testing and calibrating low-capacity torque tools.
There are a number of accessories available for the Norbar TST Screwdriver Testers; for a quick overview of the accessories available please see the following table. For further information or to add an item listed below to an order, please contact our sales team PRIOR to purchase.
