These torque testers are ideal for users of smaller industrial and automotive torque wrenches. They are compliant with BS7882:2017 classification:
(**Class 1 equates to ±0.5% of reading.)
These tools are supplied with a clockwise transducer calibration; however, it is possible to purchase these Norbar Pro-Test Series 2 Professional Torque Testers with an anti-clockwise transducer calibration (see ‘Accessories’ for further details).
The Norbar Pro-Test Series 2 Professional Torque Testers include three operating modes allowing the user to tailor the instrument to his/her requirements. These tools include a Track mode for indicating the current value; a Peak Memory mode for recording the highest value detected over the course of the measurement period; and a First Peak Memory mode designed for use with click-type torque wrenches, this mode records the first peak of torque. Both the Peak Memory and First Peak Memory modes can be automatically or manually reset.
Measurements are viewable via the Norbar Pro-Test Series 2 Professional Torque Testers’ large, backlit display and can be viewed in the user’s choice of measurement unit. The Norbar Pro-Test Series 2 Professional Torque Testers support all common units of torque measurement.
Furthermore, data can be transferred to a PC, printer, data capture unit or SPC software using the supplied RS-232-C cable.
Selecting the desired measurement unit or operating mode is made easy as a result of the Norbar Pro-Test Series 2 Professional Torque Testers’ pictorial display. It is also possible to configure these tools to display the operating menu in the user’s choice of language (most European languages are supported).
Further to this, these torque testers can be programmed to include user-settable parameters that are accessible via the Norbar Pro-Test Series 2 Professional Torque Testers’ front panels. This adds to the ease-of-use and efficiency of these instruments.
As well as ease-of-use and efficiency, the Norbar Pro-Test Series 2 Professional Torque Testers have been optimised for versatility and to this end can be used with an OPTIONAL mounting bracket (see ‘Accessories’) facilitating the user’s ability to measure/ operate torque wrenches in the horizontal or vertical plane.
Finally, the Norbar Pro-Test Series 2 Professional Torque Testers’ displays and transducers are hard-wired together using a 600mm cable, thereby adding to their practicality. As mentioned above the display is large and backlit, making it easy-to-read from a distance as well as suitable for use in poor lighting conditions.
The Norbar Pro-Test Series 2 Professional Torque Testers are easy-to-use, efficient, accurate and practical torque measurement and calibration instruments. Their versatility makes them suitable for performing in-house calibrations of all types of torque wrenches.
