Norbar EBT-92 EvoTorque® Battery Tools – Choice of Model

Combined with either a single-speed or auto two-speed gearbox, the Norbar EBT-92 EvoTorque® Battery Tools are transducer-controlled, battery-powered torque tools optimised for applying torque to threaded fasteners.

These Norbar models feature a data memory and data transfer capabilities as well as a new brushless motor. There are four versions of the Norbar EBT-92 EvoTorque® Battery Tools available: a single-speed bare tool, a single-speed kit, an auto two-speed bare tool and an auto two-speed kit. All of the Norbar EBT-92 EvoTorque® Battery Tools are supplied with traceable calibration certificates for torque and angle, however, the single-speed models are better suited to applying torque with angle operation. When used in Torque & Angle and Torque Audit mode, the single-speed Norbar EBT-92 EvoTorque® Battery Tools can be set to a lower percentage of the tool maximum compared to their auto two-speed counterparts. This makes them better suited to angle operation.

The auto two-speed versions of the Norbar EBT-92 EvoTorque® Battery Tools are ideal for rapid joint completion.

In addition to three modes of operation, Torque, Torque & Angle and Torque Audit, the Norbar EBT-92 EvoTorque® Battery Tools include ‘intelligent joint sensing technology’ which will monitor the joint throughout tightening and will employ dynamic braking to prevent torque over-shoot caused by motor inertia. The Norbar EBT-92 EvoTorque® Battery Tools are accurate to ±3% of the setting.

When the Norbar EBT-92 EvoTorque® Battery Tools are placed in Torque mode, the user can select an ‘Ease of Use’ function which is designed to prevent user error. Additionally, the Norbar EBT-92 EvoTorque® Battery Tools’ Key Lock feature prevents accidental or unauthorised alteration. Furthermore, the ‘Safe to Start’ button ensures that the user’s hands are safely positioned prior to beginning torque application.

Data is indicated on the Norbar EBT-92 EvoTorque® Battery Tools’ OLED displays which remain readable despite the light conditions. These battery-powered torque tools are also equipped with a high-powered LED designed to illuminate the application area.

Furthermore, the Norbar EBT-92 EvoTorque® Battery Tools will remain functional long after similar battery-powered torque tools have overheated. This is due to the inclusion of an industrial motor and 18V, 5Ah battery. It is possible to recharge up to three of these batteries from flat simultaneously in approximately 45 minutes using the Norbar battery charger.

Battery-operation also adds to the practicality of the Norbar EBT-92 EvoTorque® Battery Tools as they are not restricted by a power cable or hose.
