Norbar EBT-80 EvoTorque® Battery Tools – Choice of Model

The Norbar EBT-80 EvoTorque® Battery Tools are transducer-controlled, battery-powered torque tools combined with either a single-speed or auto two-speed gearbox. They can accurately apply torque to threaded fasteners.

These models feature a new brushless motor, data memory and data transfer capabilities. There are four versions of the Norbar EBT-80 EvoTorque® Battery Tools available: a single-speed bare tool, a single-speed kit, an auto two-speed bare tool and an auto two-speed kit. The auto two-speed models are suited to rapid joint completion, however, the single-speed Norbar EBT-80 EvoTorque® Battery Tools are ideal for applying torque with angle control. Furthermore, when used in Torque & Angle and Torque Audit mode, the single-speed versions of the Norbar EBT-80 EvoTorque® Battery Tools can be set to a lower percentage of the tool maximum compared to their auto two-speed counterparts, making them better suited to angle operation. However, each of the Norbar EBT-80 EvoTorque® Battery Tools is supplied with traceable calibration certificates for torque and angle.

All of the Norbar EBT-80 EvoTorque® Battery Tools feature three modes of operation Torque, Torque & Angle and Torque Audit. An optional ‘Ease of Use’ functionality is available in Torque mode; this function is designed to reduce user error. Additionally, the ‘Safe to Start’ button ensures that the user’s hands are in a safe position prior to beginning the application, while the Key Lock feature prevents accidental or unauthorised alteration.  

The Norbar EBT-80 EvoTorque® Battery Tools also feature ‘intelligent joint sensing technology’ which improves both ease of use and accuracy. The ‘intelligent joint sensing technology’ monitors the joint throughout tightening and will employ dynamic braking to prevent torque over-shoot due to motor inertia. The Norbar EBT-80 EvoTorque® Battery Tools are accurate to ±3% of the setting.

Data is visible in all light conditions via the Norbar EBT-80 EvoTorque® Battery Tools’ OLED displays. The Norbar EBT-80 EvoTorque® Battery Tools also include a high-powered LED designed to illuminate the application area.

The Norbar EBT-80 EvoTorque® Battery Tools’ industrial motors and 18V, 5.0Ah batteries equips them with a long operating time; they will continue to function long after other battery-powered torque tools have overheated. Moreover, battery-powered operation means the Norbar EBT-80 EvoTorque® Battery Tools are not restricted by a power cable or hose. Up to three Norbar batteries can be simultaneously recharged from flat in approximately 45 minutes.
