The Norbar 60278.LOG Intervention Tool Torque Verification Kit can be used to measure the torque of API rotary intervention tools. This kit consists of a Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite, a Norbar 80019 Class 4 Intervention Tool Test Pot and a Norbar 50751.LOG HE Transducer. All of these tools are suitable for use in harsh environments such as ship decks, oil rigs and oil refineries; please see the descriptions below for further information regarding these products.
The Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite includes all the features and functions of the Norbar TTT and TST Torque/ Screwdriver Testers contained within a unit that is suitable for use in harsh environments. When used with the included Norbar 50751.LOG HE Static Transducer, the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite has an ingress protection rating of IP65/67.
The Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite can be used to measure and display torque in thirteen units. Furthermore, it can be programmed to include additional measurement units (up to six characters) using the User Unit feature. This instrument can also be programmed to include up to twelve measurement limits. Moreover, it can display information in eleven languages and all user-configurable options are password protected preventing unauthorised alteration and ensuring consistency between measurements.
In addition to this, the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite includes ten measurement modes, six modes of operation, and a Pulse Count feature that can be used when the Norbar TTL-HE is placed in Tool or Clutch Tool mode. The Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite’s pictorial display provides easy access to the required modes of operation, thereby improving the simplicity and speed of testing.
Furthermore, when used with the included Norbar HE Transducer, the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite has a resolution of five digits. It is capable of measuring torque to a Class 1 accuracy over the ‘primary’ classification range (±0.5% of the reading from 20% to 100% of the full scale), and, like the Norbar 50751.LOG HE Static Transducer, can be calibrated in clockwise and anti-clockwise directions.
Finally, this instrument can be powered using a rechargeable battery or an AC mains supply, allowing the user to tailor the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite to suit his/her surroundings and/or the application.
The Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite is an adaptable, accurate and easy-to-use torque tester optimised for harsh environments. It is ideal for the oil and gas industry.
The Norbar 80019 Class 4 Intervention Tool Test Pot can be used to test API rotary intervention tools accurately. This instrument conforms to ISO 13628-8:2002 and the API 170 First Edition.
The Norbar 80019 Class 4 Intervention Tool Test Pot features a lightweight, aluminium construction with lifting handles. It provides a reliable, simple, accurate solution to testing the torque of API rotary intervention tools.
The Norbar 50751.LOG HE Static Transducer has been constructed from stainless steel and is specifically designed for use with the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite. Like the Norbar TTL-HE, the Norbar 50751.LOG HE Static Transducer can be calibrated in both directions and has a class 1 accuracy over the ‘primary’ classification range (±0.5% of the reading from 20% to 100% of the full scale).
Moreover, it too has an ingress protection rating of IP65/67 and is suitable for use in harsh environments such as those commonly encountered in the oil and gas industry. The Norbar 50751.LOG HE Static Transducer has been designed to include two 1 ½” male square drives and has a range of 300 to 3000 N.m.
The Norbar 50751.LOG HE Static Transducer is a resilient instrument; it can be used with the above instruments to measure torque.
