Norbar 6033X Manual Torque Wrench Calibrators – Choice of Model

The Norbar 6033X Manual Torque Wrench Calibrators can be used to calibrate and test torque wrenches in accordance with ISO 6789-2:2017 (when used with Norbar’s T-Box XL™ Torque Calibration Tool, software version 3.0.0.X, and the Norbar TDMS 4.0.X Software).

These instruments are also compliant with BS EN 56789:2033 and ISO 6789-1:2017 specifications, as well as the American military standard GGG-W-686. The Norbar 6033X Manual Torque Wrench Calibrators are available in two models with different measurement ranges.

The Norbar 6033X Manual Torque Wrench Calibrators have been designed to ensure accurate, efficient and reliable torque testing and calibration. They include a counterbalance reaction system which prevents the weight of the wrench-under-test from becoming a parasitic force within the calibration system. The floating design of the weight support allows the torque wrench to find its natural level rather than being fixed into position, thereby preventing the detrimental effects of constraining forces within the system.

Additionally, the Norbar 6033X Manual Torque Wrench Calibrators include a rotating transducer design which ensures that load is always applied at 90° to the torque wrench’s handle. As the calibrators maintain a fixed position on the torque wrench’s handle throughout testing, the inclusion of a rotating transducer means that forces are always applied squarely to the load point of the handle.

Furthermore, the Norbar 6033X Manual Torque Wrench Calibrators are equipped with a two-speed gearbox which facilitates fast loading of the torque wrench, as well as slower, more precise loading of the tool-under-investigation. This gearbox has been optimised for speed and control thereby allowing the user to tailor the calibrator to the application.

Also adding to the versatility and adaptability of these instruments is their compatibility with flange mounted transducers and static transducers. The operator is able to use the Norbar 6033X Manual Torque Wrench Calibrators with any of the aforementioned transducers provided he/she has adapted the calibrator for this purpose using Norbar’s 60318 Static Transducer Support Kit (NOT included, see 'Accessories').

Furthermore, when used in conjunction with the Norbar 60323 Pro-Test and Static Torque Block Adaptor Kit, the  Norbar 6033X Manual Torque Wrench Calibrators may be configured to work with Norbar’s T-Box XL™, TST, TTT and Pro-Test Torque Measurement Instruments.

Finally, the Norbar 6033X Manual Torque Wrench Calibrators have been constructed from a lightweight alloy ensuring that they can be transported across and between worksites easily. This construction makes them particularly well suited to mobile laboratory applications.
