The Mitutoyo Series 293 Digimatic Micrometer is easily integrated into statistical process control and network measurement systems. It is a constant-force measuring tool with a ratchet stop and a carbide measuring face. The Mitutoyo Series 293 Digimatic Micrometer is compatible with interface input tools that enable the conversion of measurement data into keyboard signals that can be directly inputted into spreadsheet software like MS Excel.

Functions

The Mitutoyo Series 293 Digimatic Micrometer features the following functions:

• Origin Point Setting (ABS measurement system): resets the ABS origin at the current spindle position to the minimum value of the measuring range and switches to ABS mode.
• Zero Setting (INC measurement system): pressing the ZERO/ABS button sets the display to zero at the current spindle position and switches to the incremental (INC) measuring mode. A longer press resets the micrometer to the ABS measuring mode.
• Hold: freezes the current measurement on the display.
• Function Lock: prevents measuring points from being accidentally reset by locking the Origin Point Setting or Zero function.
• Auto Power On/Off: the LCD turns off after twenty minutes of inactivity. However, the reading and measurement mode are retained; turning the spindle will make the measurement reappear and will reactivate the measurement mode.
• Data Output: micrometers with this function feature an output port for transferring data to a Statistical Process System.
• Error Alarm: an indicator or error message will be displayed in the event of a display overflow, calculation error, or low-battery.
