These Metrohm Wireless Phase Comparator Kits use a Transmitter and Receiver to determine the phase relationship between two energized conductors at the same voltage and frequency, without connecting cables. They comply with IEC 61481 for voltages up to 33kV (WPC1000) or 132kV (WPC2000).
The battery-operated Transmitter (TX) and Receiver (RX) provide clear line status indications using super bright LEDs and a high-intensity buzzer. They accurately determine the phase relationship between two points at the same voltage and frequency, even in bright sunlight and high noise conditions.
Transmitter (TX)
During voltage checking, the Transmitter contacts the live conductor. If the voltage exceeds the threshold, it triggers an automatic sequence. If the line remains live after 5 seconds, both RED LEDs light up, and the Line Phase Angle is sent to the Receiver.
Receiver (RX)
The Receiver Unit checks voltage by contacting the live conductor. If the voltage exceeds the threshold, it activates and starts the sequence. The RED LED lights up solidly if the line remains live after 5 seconds.
To determine the phase angle shift between the Transmitter and Receiver, an IN PHASE condition (≤±10°) is shown by solid RED and GREEN LEDs and a continuous buzz. A solid RED LED indicates an OUT OF PHASE condition (>±20°).
