The Metrel MI3295M Step Contact Voltage Meter Measuring Kit consists of the Metrel MI3295M Step Contact Voltage Meter and a selection of accessories including batteries and test leads. For further information regarding the items included in this kit, please see the ‘What’s Included?’ section.
The Metrel MI3295M Step Contact Voltage Meter is designed for use with the Metrel MI3295S Step Contact Voltage Station (NOT Included). This instrument can serve as a replacement or additional voltage meter for the Metrel MI3295S Step Contact Voltage Station.
As the Metrel MI3295S Station is able to accommodate connections with multiple Metrel MI3295M Meters, the technician or technicians can use this extensive step contact voltage measuring system to quickly analyse voltage distribution around the tested apparatus or installation. The Metrel MI3295M Step Contact Voltage Meter is an autonomous test instrument and can, therefore, be connected to the Metrel MI3925S Step Contact Voltage Station without using long potential leads. This allows for multiple meter connections and adds to the practicality and safety of the Metrel MI3295M Step Contact Voltage Meter.
Furthermore, when used as part of this measurement system the Metrel MI3295M Step Contact Voltage Meter can be used to check:
Therefore, when used as part of this system, the Metrel MI3295M Step Contact Voltage Meter is ideal for testing and verifying the protective earthing of power stations, substations and other power systems. As such it is particularly well suited to checking earthing funnels, and can also be used to test and verify railway systems and low-voltage installations.
The Metrel MI3295 Step Contact Voltage Measuring System features noise immunity technology that works to eliminate the effects of noise, such as changing earth currents, on measurement results. As a result, this meter can be used to measure step and contact voltages to a high degree of accuracy and reliability, and to a resolution of 10µV.
The Metrel MI3295M Step Contact Voltage Meter includes an extensive internal memory to which test results and parameters may be saved. Its three-level memory has the capacity to store 1500 measurements.
When used with Metrel’s ES Manager or HVLink Pro PC Software Programs (NOT included), the user can download saved test results to his/her PC. These software programs can also be used to conduct measurement analysis, as well as create and print test reports.
The Metrel MI3295M Step Contact Voltage Meter is a useful addition to Metrel’s MI3265S Step Contact Voltage Station or an existing Metrel MI3295 Step Contact Voltage Measuring System. It is ideal for checking and verifying various installations and apparatus used in electrical, industrial and railway power systems.
