Metrel MI3209 TeraOhmLT 10kV High Voltage Insulation Tester
The Metrel MI3209 TeraOhmLT 10kV High Voltage Insulation Tester is a portable insulation resistance tester with an adjustable DC test voltage of up to 10kV. In addition to insulation measurement, the Metrel MI3209 can measure capacitance, and voltage and frequency up to 550V true-RMS. It can also perform diagnostic (PI, DAR, DD), step voltage, and withstanding voltage (up to 10kV DC) tests. Measurements are indicated in numerical and graphical formats. The MI3209 also features isolated RS-232 and USB communication ports for downloading data to a laptop/PC using Metrel’s HVLink Pro Software (sold separately). IP65-rated, the MI3209 is perfect for use in rugged environments and may be powered via a battery or mains supply.
Measurement Functions
The Metrel MI3209 TeraOhmLT High Voltage Insulation Tester offers the following measurement and test capabilities:
- Insulation resistance up to 10 TΩ
- PI test
- DAR test
- DD test
- Step voltage test
- Withstanding voltage test (DC) up to 10kV
- Voltage and frequency up to 550V TRMS
- Capacitance (charging rate for capacitive load < 3s/ µF at 10kV)
Its adjustable test voltage can be altered in steps of 50V between 50V and 1kV and steps of 100V between 1kV and 10kV. The Metrel MI3209 also includes a programmable timer, auto adjustment function, and high voltage breakdown detection, as well as high EM interference protection which comprises input AC current noise rejection (1mA ꝏ 600V) and additional averaging of results (5, 10, 30, 60). Once testing is complete, the MI3209 will automatically discharge the test object.
Rugged, Ergonomic Design
This durable, portable insulation resistance tester is IP65-rated and CAT IV/ 600V certified. It features a guard terminal and is supplied with shielded test leads. The Metrel MI3209 can be mains- or battery-powered, ensuring it is suitable for use in array of challenging environments.
Data may be transferred to a laptop/PC via the isolated RS-232 and USB communication ports and using Metrel’s HVLink Pro Software (sold separately).
