An ideal instrument for use by any professional electrical installer, the Metrel MI3122 is purpose-built for verification, maintenance and periodic testing of electrical installations, evaluation of protective measures in LV-installations (fuse size, RCD operation), troubleshooting live installations and testing on CAT IV installations (including distribution side, LV-substations, industrial plants and other similar applications).
Incredibly portable and designed for ease of use, the MI3122 can even be used completely hands-free thanks to a built-in magnetic holder. Just clip to the side of a metallic installation and free up your hands to use the probes used for measurements.
The tester is packed full of functionality, including support for all live tests on LV-electrical circuits (including loop impedance, prospective fault current, line impedance and prospective short-circuit current), has built-in fuse characteristics for quick evaluation without hassle, can be used to test RCDs with trip out time, contact voltage, ramp testing and autotesting procedures and this loop testing instrument is also suitable for use in testing both single and 3 phase systems with built-in phase sequence test.
You won't waste time making calculations and testing for long periods of time with the Metrel MI3122; this tester include pre-programmed limits for ease of use, clearly shows PASS/FAIL of a test result using green/red LED indicators and includes built-in two level memory structure for saving of test results and parameters. By using Metrel EuroLink Pro Software (sold separately) it is possible to connect a USB or RS232 cable to the instrument and download information directly into a PC for further analysis.
