Metrel MI3102BT Eurotest XE Multifunction Installation Tester
The Metrel MI3102BT Eurotest XE Multifunction Installation Tester can be used to check domestic, industrial, and medical installations, as well as test TT, TN, and IT earthing systems, and single- and multi-phase systems. To this end it includes an extensive selection of tests optimised for measuring various electrical parameters, these include:
- Insulation resistance tests with a selectable DC test voltage between 50V and 1000V
- 200mA continuity test with a polarity change for PE conductors
- 7mA continuity test for PE conductors (without tripping RCDs)
- Loop/ line impedance measurements
- Loop impedance test with a Trip Lock RCD function
- True-RMS voltage measurement
- True-RMS frequency measurement
- Phase sequence test
- Power and harmonics measurements
- General RCD tests
- Selectable RCD tests (choose from types AC, A, F, B, B+)
- Earth resistance measurements using a 3-wire and 2-clamp method
- First fault leakage current measurements (ISFL)
- Insulation Monitoring Device (IMD) test
Further to this, it can be used with a Ro-adapter (NOT included) to measure specific earth resistance. Moreover, it can be configured to perform OPTIONAL true-RMS leakage and load current measurements and OPTIONAL illumination measurements; please contact our sales team for further details.
In addition to the above testing capabilities, the MI3102BT Eurotest XE includes several automatic testing sequences designed to improve the ease and efficiency of testing. This instrument supports AUTO SEQUENCES® optimised for testing TT, TN, and IT earthing systems; it also features an automated testing procedure for RCDs. Additionally, it is capable of online voltage monitoring: this tester can monitor three voltages in real time.
Also adding to the efficiency of testing is the integrated help screens for on-site referencing, and fuse tables for evaluating line and loop impedance results. The integrated fuse and RCD tables enable it to determine whether these components have passed or failed the relevant tests. In addition to this, the Metrel MI3102BT features power and harmonics analysis.
Results can be saved to the tester and these measurements can be transferred to a PC via the tester’s integrated Bluetooth module and using the supplied Metrel EuroLink Pro Software. This software can also be used to create professional reports. Alternatively; these testers can transfer results to an Android smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth and the free Metrel EuroLink Android App (NOT included).
The tester includes an integrated charging unit and is supplied with rechargeable NiMH batteries.
The Metrel MI3102BT Eurotest XE Multifunction Installation Tester is ideal for checking a variety of electrical installations and systems in accordance with IEC/ EN 61557 specifications.
