Metrel MI 3088 PhotoVoltaic Demonstration Board

The Metrel MI 3088 PhotoVoltaic Demonstration Board simulates a typical photovoltaic system. To this end, it contains a PV module, DC/AC inverter, PV string, DC switch box, and one-phase connection to the power grid.

These components facilitate the demonstration board’s ability to simulate an I/V characteristic of a PV module/string, as well as the output of an irradiance or temperature sensor. It is also capable of simulating a DC/AC inverter with one DC input and single phase output.

The Metrel MI 3088 PhotoVoltaic Demonstration Board is particularly well suited to demonstrating measuring methods and procedures on DC and partially AC sides of PV systems in accordance with EN 625446. It can be used to demonstrate:

• Continuity measurements
• Isolation tests
• Open circuit voltage (Uoc) measurements
• Short circuit current (Isc) measurements
• Polarity tests

It is therefore of particular use to sales personnel demonstrating PV test equipment.
