The Metrel Master Q4 is a portable, handheld power quality analyser, suitable for use with low- and middle-voltage electrical systems, optimised for checking power correction equipment performance and predictive maintenance. This instrument is suitable for troubleshooting and long-term monitoring of single- and three-phase power distribution systems.
This analyser is packed full of measurement functions, including:
- True RMS voltage with peak and crest factor (4 channel)
- True RMS current with peak and crest factor (4 channel)
- Active, reactive and apparent power
- Capture and record power supply events (shutdowns, interruptions, swells and dips)
- Unbalance and flicker measurements
- Harmonic and interharmonic analysis up to 50th harmonic, plus THD measurements
- Active, reactive, generated and consumed energy
- Inrush current monitoring and recording
- Waveform/inrush displaying, snapshot and recording
- Temperature
- Power factor cos φ
The Metrel MI2885 Master Q4 Power Quality Analyser is able to conduct power measurements for active, non-active, fundamental, harmonic and load unbalance in compliance with IEEE 1459. It will automatically record waveforms and data pertaining to voltage events such as dips and swells. However, it is also possible to program the Power Quality Analyser to include up to seven adjustable alarms designed to capture waveforms of selected quantities.
The large, easy-to-read graphical colour display allows the user to detect and view harmonics, phasors and waveforms easily whilst the Quick Set buttons provide a faster data overview and make the analyser more user-friendly; this is especially useful during troubleshooting.
This analyser's handheld design makes it ideal for analysis in the field, ensuring you don't have to carry and use heavier equipment. When used with the optional clamps, the analyser will automatically determine the connected clamp and measurement range to speed up measurements.
The internal memory can store several results inside and this information can be directly downloaded to a PC and into Metrel's PC SW PowerView 3. An 8GB memory card is supplied as standard, but the memory can be further expanded by installing a 32GB memory card (sold separately).
This power quality analyser is in compliance with power quality standard 61000-4-30 Class S.
Note: there are three versions of this product available. Choose between the Standard Set with no current clamps, the Euro Set with four A1227 flexible current clamps, or the Advanced Set with four A1502 flexible current clamps. Please see the 'What's Included?' section for further information.
