Metrel A1532 XA EVSE Adapter

Description

The Metrel A1532 XA EVSE Adapter can be used with compatible Metrel multifunction testers to verify the functionality and electrical safety of electrical vehicle charging stations. It is specifically designed for testing mode 3 EV supply equipment with type 2 connectors.

To this end, the Metrel A1532 XA EVSE Adapter supports the following test features:

3-phase load up to 13A (1-phase or 3-phase when testing banana sockets)
Fault simulation: Diode short, PE-CP short and PE open
Proximity Pilot resistance selector for simulating EV cable presence and current rating detection
Control Pilot resistance selector for simulating electrical vehicle status

The Metrel A1532 XA EVSE Adapter also includes support for functional tests as well as 6mA EV RCDs and Metrel’s MESM Software (NOT included) for creating reports. In addition to this, when used with Metrel’s AutoSequences® function, available on select Metrel multifunction testers, the Metrel A1532 XA EVSE Adapter can test EVSE charging stations state-by-state at the push of a button.

Moreover, the Metrel A1532 XA EVSE Adapter includes voltage indicators for detecting EVSE output and an output BNC connector for CP signal monitoring. It also features:

Banana socket outputs for connection to a 3-phase installation tester
A socket output for connection to a 1-phase installation tester (Phase 1, Neutral, PE)
Type-2 male plug connector for connection to EVSE
