The Megger XTL Extended Test Lead range is designed to take direct continuity and R2 measurements. These leads are lightweight, compact and are available in two lengths: 30m and 50m.
These leads do not require crossover connections for R1+ R2 measurements as they easily determine a R2 value, making them ideal for use on electrical systems and/or products where R1 +R2 measurements are not possible, for example: lighting circuits to check switches; multi-layered light arrays such as commercial and retail premises; and roses.
These easy-to-carry and use leads also detect the furthest point in a circuit and ensure that all earth points along the circuit are checked for integrity before energising.
Megger’s XTL Extended Test Leads are ideal for detecting general faults within both new and in-use circuits where a loop break and/or circuit fault is present at a distance from the distribution board.
The Megger XTL Extended Leads are functional between 0v to 600V dc/ac (0/1 kHz) and between -10°C and +50°C. These features combined with the low-friction drum, which prevents over-run ensuring a tangle-free extension; Megger XTL’s cable tensioning brush for easy re-wind; along with the 1.5m inter-connection lead and croc clip, work to make these leads as convenient, versatile and easy-to-use as possible.
These Megger XTL Extended Leads are a practical addition to any electrician’s tool-kit.
