Megger VCM80D Digital Voltage Checker (OTSAF/ PB Models up to 80 kV)

The Megger VCM80D Digital Voltage Checker is suitable for use with Megger’s OSTAF and OTSPB Oil Testers with a maximum voltage range of up to 80 kV; therefore, it can be used with the following models:

• OTS60AF
• OTS80AF
• OTS60PB
• OTS80PB

Using the Megger VCM80D Digital Voltage Checker, the operator can verify whether his/her oil test set is issuing correct and/or suitably accurate results. It will evaluate the high output voltages issued by Megger’s OTSAF and OTSPB Oil Testers in reference to a set of national standards.

Each of the aforementioned compatible oil testers features pre-configured test sequences for use with this calibration meter. The Megger VCM80D Digital Calibration Meter is installed within the oil testing chamber in place of the oil vessel. Once installed it can be used to simulate the effects of a normal test (dielectric strength).

During the calibration sequence, the Megger VCM80D Digital Voltage Checker will ramp from 0 kV to the oil tester’s maximum test voltage, stopping at 10 kV intervals for 10 seconds to verify the output voltage. Please note that this calibration meter has a range of 0 kV to 80 kV and so cannot be used to verify oil testers with ranges exceeding 80 kV.

The user can view the detected output voltage via the digital display providing an easy and efficient way of verifying test voltages.
