The Megger TTR20-1 & TTR25-1 Handheld Transformer Turns Ratio Testers are automatic, battery-operated, lightweight transformer turns ratio test sets that support simple, single-button, one-handed operation. They are designed for measuring the turns ratio, excitation current, and polarity of windings in single- and three-phase distribution and power transformers (tested phase by phase), potential and current transformers, and tapped transformers.
Measurement
Both models measure turns ratio to an accuracy of ±0.2% (0.8 to 4000). However, the Megger TTR20-1 differs from the Megger TTR25-1 in regards to its range:
- TTR20-1 turns ratio range: 10 000:1
- TTR25-1 turns ratio range: 20 000:1
Additionally, the Megger TTR20-1 & TTR25-1 Handheld Transformer Turns Ratio Testers can record ratio and phase errors for brushing CTs to an accuracy of ±0.2% nameplate, reducing the need for heavy test equipment and decreasing the test time. They are ideal for determining the no-load accuracy of most CTs and PTs and can be used to identify potentially faulty CTs and PTs, making them perfect for conducting inspections in meter shops.
Ergonomic Design
Measurements are displayed on the easy-to-read, high-contrast, backlit LCD. Housed in an extra-rugged, high-impact, shock-resistant case with metal connectors, these lightweight (870g) turns ratio test sets are compact ensuring they support single-handed operation which significantly reduces test time and eliminates the need to kneel or bend down to operate the instrument. Finally, the Megger TTR20-1 & TTR25-1 Handheld Transformer Turns Ratio Testers are powered by six easily replaceable AA alkaline batteries that deliver twelve hours of operating time.
Ready to use straight out of the box, the Megger TTR20-1 & TTR25-1 Handheld Transformer Turns Ratio Testers are ideal for use in substations, transformer-manufacturing factories, and meter shops.
