The Megger TORKEL 950 Battery Load Unit Tester performs load/discharge testing allowing you to ascertain the actual capacity of battery systems. When used with an optional cell voltage logger (BVM), which is connected directly to the unit, the Megger TORKEL 950 Battery Load Unit Tester serves as a standalone discharge test system. Please see the video below for an introduction to the Megger TORKEL 900 Series of Battery Load Unit Testers.
Batteries may be tested without disconnecting them from the equipment they serve. The Megger TORKEL 950 Battery Load Unit Tester measures the in-service battery’s total current via a DC clamp-on probe while regulating the battery at a constant level. Battery systems under test can be plus- or minus-grounded or free-floating.
Tests can be conducted at a constant current, power, and resistance or according to a pre-selected load profile. Moreover, the Megger TORKEL 950 Battery Load Unit Tester’s high discharge capacity allows you to shorten the test time. Discharging can take place at up to 220A; if you need a higher current, two or more Megger TORKEL 950 Battery Load Unit Testers or TXL Load Units can be linked together.
The Megger TORKEL 950 Battery Load Unit Tester is a versatile, dynamic, and efficient load/discharge testing machine.
