About the Megger TORKEL 930 Battery Load Unit Tester
The upgraded version of Megger's Torkel 910 Battery Load Unit Tester, the TORKEL 930 has higher maximum current and voltage as well as additional BVM functionality, charging measurement capabilities and built-in memory storage with full reporting functionality.
Megger TORKEL units provide professional technicians with the means to perform load and discharge testing on various types of battery system. Batteries can be tested while in service so there's no drops needed; the TORKEL will test the overall efficiency of your battery system and allow you to make adjustments or changes as needed to ensure optimal power efficiency.

Megger TORKEL 900
Megger TORKEL units are designed to perform high accuracy testing while shortening the actual time you spend testing. With high discharge capacity at up to 220A, tests can be conducted at constant current, constant power, constant resistance or in accordance with a pre-selected load profile. If higher current is needed, it also possible to link two or more TORKEL units together or extra battery load units to the TORKEL 930.
As this is the upgraded version of the TORKEL 910, the 930 comes with additional functionality. This includes:
- Full Report Functionality - store your results in internal memory and transfer to PC using USB connection for further analysis
- Battery Voltage Monitoring - using an optional BVM module, the TORKEL 930 can be used to automatically log battery cell voltage during testing
- Charging Measurements - calculate how batteries are operating during the charging cycle
Expand Your Capabilities with Extra Load Units
Megger's TORKEL 930's capabilities can be expanded further for use with larger battery banks by using optional TXL extra load units.
There are four loads available - the TXL830, TXL850, TXL870 and TXL890. Please see Megger's datasheet (available as a download further below) for a comprehensive breakdown of the capabilities of each of the battery load units.
