This portable, lightweight unit is used for quickly finding faults on metallic cabling up to 5000m in length (dependant upon velocity factor and the type of cabling).
This fault locator includes four output impedances of 25, 50, 75 and 100Ω and uses velocity factor between 0.2 and 0.99 to meet the various demands of cable testing. The TDR1000/3P also features an intuitive, easy-to-use interface with 4 way control switch for easily switching between different functions.
When carrying out TDR tracing this device speeds up testing by using its AUTO mode which automatically selects applicable parameters depending on the overall range required. It also comes with a live trace overlay which allows users to compare two traces at the same time and the devices' bright, graphical LCD screen can be used in both good and poor lighting conditions thanks to the inclusion of a bright backlight.
This cable locator uses ultra fast pulse technology to carry out near fault identification and is designed for use on metallic cable pairings. Distance can be displayed in either metres of feet depending on preference and this tester is IP54 safety rated.
