The Megger MPAC128 Series Acoustic Imager is a high-resolution ultrasonic camera suitable for locating gas, pressure, and vacuum leaks, as well as partial discharge. Equipped with 128 microphones and an 8MP optical camera with a 48° x 62° field of view, this acoustic camera can identify and visualise sound between 2 kHz and 48 kHz. Intelligent analytics enable partial discharge identification and leak quantification for cost estimation. A rugged IP54-rated design and a self-check function, which verifies the integrity of internal components, ensure longevity and reliability. Meanwhile, a 0.3m to 120m detection distance provides safety, enabling engineers to stand at a safe distance from dangerous or potentially faulty equipment. As a non-invasive acoustic imaging camera with a long detection range, the Megger acoustic camera provides a safe, simple, swift method of identifying faults to prevent hazards and disruptions without costly downtime. As a result, businesses can protect staff and save time, energy, and resources, while maximising profits.
The Megger MPAC128 highlights areas of ultrasonic sound on a visual image allowing engineers/technicians to identify sources of leaks or partial discharge efficiently and easily. Equipped with an 8MP digital camera and a 128 microphone array, the Megger acoustic camera can detect multiple gas types and pressurised gas leaks, as well as different kinds of partial discharge. It has a detection frequency of 2 kHz to 48 kHz and includes a focus function for reducing noise.
In addition to mapping ultrasonic sound, the Megger acoustic camera includes intelligent analytics enabling partial discharge diagnosis and leak rate quantification.
Offering a leak detection rate of 1m 7 bar 0.37 ml/s and 10m 7 bar 0.7 ml/s, this acoustic camera can be used to estimate the costs of leaks, enabling maintenance teams to prioritise the repair of the most expensive leaks.
PRPD discriminates between different types of partial discharge.
This Megger ultrasonic imager is also supplied with free acoustic analysis software.
Optimised for ease of use, engineers/technicians need only set two parameters to operate the Megger acoustic camera. Save videos, images, and results on-site to the MPAC128’s expandable memory. Finally, easily update the acoustic imager’s firmware via a USB-C memory stick or microSD card.
There are two versions of the Megger acoustic imager available: the standard MPAC128 and the MPAC128-ATEX which is ATEX-certified for use in hazardous zone 2 areas.
The Megger MPAC128 Series Acoustic Imager provides precise, efficient leak and partial discharge detection.
