Megger DLRO10HD Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter Description

The Megger DLRO10HD Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter is a rugged instrument capable of performing low contact resistance tests (ducter tests) on all metallic joints, including those present in railways and aircraft.

The Megger DLRO10HD Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter puts resilience and durability at the forefront of its design and so has been optimised to withstand 600V, and/or accidental contact with line or UPS voltage, without blowing a fuse. It also features a Test Lead Live voltage warning light and is supplied with a hard carrying case which can protect the Megger DLRO10HD Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter from the elements and falls of up to 1m. In addition to this, the Megger DLRO10HD Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter can be powered via a rechargeable battery or via a line power supply. The Megger DLRO10HD will remain operational when powered by a line power supply even if the battery is flat. The Megger DLRO10HD Digital Low Resistance Meter also features an Auto-Power-Off function which helps to conserve the instrument’s power.

In addition to the Auto-Power-Off function, the Megger DLRO10HD features five measuring modes:

• Auto Start on Connection mode: the ohmmeter will perform a new test automatically each time the probes are disconnected and then reconnected to the instrument under test. This mode measures forward and backward currents and from these readings will determine and display the average measurement taken. This mode is ideal when using handspikes.
• Normal mode: this mode is ideal for taking multiple continuity measurements. The ohmmeter will issue a forward and backward current, enabling it to check and display the continuity of the four points connected to the ohmmeter via the four test lead connections.  
• Automatic Unidirectional mode: allows the user to take quicker measurements by issuing a single direction current.
• Continuous mode: takes repeat measurements of the same sample; these measurements are updated every three seconds until the circuit is broken.
• Inductive mode: this mode is ideal for taking measurements of instruments, such as testing motors and generators, which take some time before reaching a stable voltage. This mode ensures that the ohmmeter issues a single direction current and continues to take measurements until the user deems the voltage stable and cancels the test by pressing the TEST button.

All these modes are accessible via the simple-to-use and easy-to-handle rotary switch.

Further to the multitudinous measurement modes available on the Megger DLRO10HD, this product can also be used to perform condition diagnostics as it can issue high or low output power. It also increases test efficiency by delivering 10 A into measurements up to 250 mΩ and 1A into measurements of 2.5Ω for up to a minute, thereby reducing cooling time and improving the charging of inductance.

Megger KC1-TL3-C Kelvin Clip Lead Set Description

The Megger KC1-TL3-C Kelvin Clip Lead Set is compatible with the above Megger DLRO10HD Low Resistance Ohmmeter.

This Kelvin Clip Lead Set has a lead set loop resistance of 88mΩ. It includes two KC1-C Kelvin Clips; one TL3-C 3m Connect Lead and a TL3-CL 3m Connect Lead with Indicator Lights.
