Simply hold the TEK100 near a voltage source from 100-600V AC and it'll let you know if voltage is present!
If voltage is detected, the TEK100 will use a combination of an audible tone and a red visual indicator to alert the user. A built-in self testing function allows the meter to remain accurate throughout its lifetime and will check the tip of the tester at 50Hz plus the condition of the battery and LED indicator.
The self-testing function eliminates the need for a separate proving unit.
