Note At 500 lbF (2,500 N) or more, force gauges are not recommended for applications involving sudden, sharp breaks. Examples include compression of brittle materials, pull testing of welds, etc. Consider an indicator with a load cell instead.

The Mark-10 Series 5 Advanced Digital Force Gauges have an accuracy of ±0.1% and a resolution of 1/5000. Also improving the accuracy of these tools is their industry-leading sampling rate of 7000Hz, providing accurate results even for quick-action tests. The Mark-10 Series 5 Advanced Digital Force Gauges are overload protected to 200% of their capacity.

Results are indicated in large, legible characters on the Mark-10 Series 5 Advanced Digital Force Gauges’ large, backlit, graphic LCD displays. The Mark-10 Series 5 Advanced Digital Force Gauges will always indicate the peak readings and set points and include an analogue load bar with set point markers for graphically indicating the applied force.

Moreover, the user is able to program the Mark-10 Series 5 Advanced Digital Force Gauges’ set points to feature indicators for pass/fail tests and/or triggers for activating external instruments such as an alarm, relay or test stand. He/she is also able to select from five measurement units (the units available are dependent on the model, please see the table above), allowing the user to tailor the Mark-10 Series 5 Advanced Digital Force Gauges to his/her preferences and/or requirements. He/she can also configure the Mark-10 Series 5 Advanced Digital Force Gauges’ audio alarms and key tones.

In addition to this, the Mark-10 Series 5 Advanced Digital Force Gauges feature an External Trigger mode which can be used for switch contact testing and/or remotely stopping the display update, as well as an Averaging mode which calculates the average reading over time and is particularly useful for peel testing.

It is possible to save up to 1000 measurements with statistics (e.g. min, max, mean and standard deviation) to the Mark-10 Series 5 Advanced Digital Force Gauges’ on-board data memory. Data can be outputted to a PC via USB, RS-232, Mitutoyo (Digimatic) or analogue interfaces. When connected to a PC or data collector via USB or RS-232, the Mark-10 Series 5 Advanced Digital Force Gauges will automatically output data.

The Mark-10 Series 5 Advanced Digital Force Gauges are supplied with MESUR™ Lite software which records and organises single point or continuous data into a table. These records can be exported to MS Excel at the push of a button. These instruments are also compatible with other Mark-10 software, grips and test-stands. Their ergonomic, reversible, aluminium designs make the Mark-10 Series 5 Advanced Digital Force Gauges suitable for handheld operation as well as for use with test stands.

The Mark-10 Series 5 Advanced Digital Force Gauges’ simple navigation menu ensures that the user can access the gauge’s features and configurable parameters quickly and easily. These force testers are password protected and configurable for individual keys and calibration. For further information regarding the Mark-10 Series 5 Advanced Digital Force Gauge, please see the following video.
