Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester - Kit 1
This kit consists of the Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester (supplied with Kewtech’s standard accessories) and an array of additional PAT testing accessories, such as labels, logbook and adapters. For a comprehensive overview of the items included in this bundle, please see the ‘What’s Included?’ section.
Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester
The Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester is the most sophisticated PAT tester in Kewtech’s EZYPAT/SMARTPAT range. It is a battery-operated, non-downloading portable appliance tester; however, it can be converted into a downloadable PAT tester when used with Kewtech’s KEWPAT app (NOT included).
This instrument is also supplied with an EZYEARTH Earth Continuity Test Lead with Probe and Crocodile Clip, EZYLEAD Extension Lead Adapter, and EZYMAIN Mains Lead, allowing the user to adapt the Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester as necessary in order to perform the required PAT checks.
This instrument has the capacity to perform the following tests:
- 200mA continuity check (IT safe)
- Quick continuity test
- 5-second continuity test
- 250V insulation test (IT safe and ideal for testing surge protected extension leads)
- 500V insulation test
- Substitute leakage test
- Polarity check
- 110V load and run test
- 230V load and run test
- Portable RCD test
- Extension lead test
Unlike the previous models in the Kewtech PAT series, the Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester is suitable for testing 10mA and 30mA portable RCDs; it will not trip these components during testing. However; like its sister products the SMARTPAT does include a Test Lead Null setting and an Appliance Pre-check, as well as pre-programmed test sequences for Class I and Class II appliances, and extension leads. These tests can be run by pressing the clearly labelled function buttons. When used with the Kewtech KEWPAT App, it is also possible to create personalised test sequences.
Test measurements and results are indicated on the Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester’s large, backlit display. Via the display, the user can view a numerical measurement value, as well as a written PASS or FAIL indication. Further to this, the backlight will change colour in order to indicate whether a test has been passed or failed; a green light indicates a PASS, while a red light indicates a FAIL.
Overall it is capable of performing up to 1400 checks over the course of the replaceable battery’s life cycle. Overall it is comprehensive, adaptable and easy-to-use portable appliance tester.

FREE KEWPAT App
The KEWPAT App is NOT included with the Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester – PAT Essentials Kit (Bundle 1). However; it is required in order to transform the Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester into a fully downloadable PAT tester, as well as facilitate the creation of personalised test sequences.
