The Kern RIB-M Price Computing Balances are precise portion scales suitable for use in shops, marketplaces, farm shops, and pick-your-own fruit and vegetable sales. Unlike their sister products, the Kern RIB-HM Price Computing Balances that include a single display that may be elevated, these scales feature a second display on the rear of the unit.

However, like their sister products, the Kern RIB-M Price Computing Balances are dual-scale and are available in three versions with different weighing ranges; please see the table below for further details.

Each of the Kern RIB-M Price Computing Balances’ displays is able to indicate the weight (verifiable), reference weight and total weight simultaneously. Both displays are also large and backlit with a digit height of 18mm and feature a power-saving auto-off function that switches the backlight off after five seconds of inactivity.  

The user is able to select the measurement unit in which weights are displayed and can program ten direct price keys to include information for frequently bought items. The Kern RIB-M Price Computing Balances also have the capacity to store up to twenty article prices. This information is saved in a PLU (Price Look Up) format.

In addition to storing prices for particular items; the Kern RIB-M Price Computing Balances are able to calculate change.

Finally, with regards to their practicality, the Kern RIB-M Price Computing Balances are soil-resistant with water channels at the frame of the housing and sealing rings over the upper housing inlets. Furthermore, these instruments are also supplied with a protective working cover.
