With Kern's ORA-W series, you'll have everything you need for determining the sugar content of fruit and - depending on model purchased - you'll be able to calculate the expected degree of alcohol produced by the fruit.
These analogue refractometers are made for precision; they come with selectable scales, a comfortable accurate eyepiece and are extremely easy to use in any application. To use, simply use the included pipette to apply a few drops of solution to the refractometer, then view using the viewfinder.
Kern ORA-W refractomers can (again depending on model) measure Oechsle, KMW (degree of must), brix (sugar) content and volume (weight). They are ideally suited for use in all levels of wine production from growing to must and alcohol development.
