Kern OBT Transmitted Light Compound Microscopes

The Kern OBT-1 Transmitted Light Compound Microscopes are high-quality school microscopes with an infinitely dimmable 1W LED. There are six models available; please see the table below for a brief overview of these models.

The Kern OBT-1 Transmitted Light Compound Microscopes are intended for use in primary and secondary schools as well as training facilities. They can be used to inspect translucent, thin, high-contrast, less complex samples such as plant tissue, coloured cells and parasites.

The Kern OBT-1 Transmitted Light Compound Microscope’s long-lasting, infinitely dimmable 1W LED provides optimum illumination of the sample. These classroom microscopes also include condenser lenses which ensure the best concentration of light and illumination of the sample:

  • OBT 101: 0.65 condenser lens with adjustable aperture diaphragm
  • OBT 102, 103, 104, 105 and 106: height-adjustable and therefore focusable 1.25 Abbe condenser with an aperture diaphragm

Additionally, all of these models are equipped with coarse and fine focusing knobs. Moreover, the Kern OBT 103, 104, 105 and 106 Compound Microscopes include a mechanical angle table for fast and easy moving of samples.

Furthermore, the Kern OBT-1 Transmitted Light Compound Microscope can be used with a range of OPTIONAL eyepieces and objectives, expanding their scope for use.

These sturdy and simple-to-operate teaching microscopes are battery-operated enabling mobile use. The Kern OBT-1 Transmitted Light Compound Microscopes are also supplied with a dust cover for protection during storage.
