About the Kern OBN-14 Fluorescent Microscope

High quality, professional-grade fluorescent microscopes made for use in haematology, urology, gynaecology, dermatology, pathology, microbiology, parasitology, immunology, sewage treatment plants, oncology, entomology, vets, water analysis and breweries.

Made to the highest standards, both the Kern OBN-147 and OBN-148 microscopes include a powerful, dimmable 20W halogen Philips illumination unit as well as a 100W Epi fluorescence illumination unit to ensure perfect illumination and excitation of any fluorescence sample you're studying. The Kern OBN-141 differs in that it includes a 3W LED Epi-Fluorescence illumination unit.  

All models also include an adjustable field diaphragm as well as a height-adjustable 1.25 Abbe condenser which can be easily centred and which has an adjustable aperture diaphragm. A built-in large-size mechanical stage (175 x 145mm) is included, complete with coaxial coarse and fine focus knobs on both sides of the scope for rapid and simple adjustment of your sample's positioning.

Depending on the model purchased, you may receive either a 100W Epi fluorescence unit with a two-hole slide (model OBN 147) or a modular filter wheel which gives you the ability to switch easily between different excitation filters (model OBN 148).

However, all of these trinocular microscopes are equipped with a wide-field eyepiece with a large visual field and dioptre compensation (both sides); they are also supplied with five infinity plan objectives (4x, 10x, 20x, 40x and 100x) which can be fitted into the 360º revolving microscope head (space for up to five lenses). 

The Kern OBN-14 Fluorescent Microscopes are stable, ergonomic and adaptable instruments suitable for all common routine applications within light and fluorescence microscopy. 

You can purchase optional eyepieces, objectives, colour filters, darkfield condensers, butterfly tube and polarising/phase contrast units for these microscopes as additional accessories. A C-mount can also be purchased to allow you to attach a camera to the scope. Please see further below for more information on these options.
