The Kern MPE 250K100PM Floor Scales with Stand is an approved medical device according to 93/42/EEC and can be supplied with an OPTIONAL class III verification. 

The Kern MPE-PM comes with a stand. At the top of the stand, the MPE also has an integrated backlit, LCD display unit for weighing (this also includes a built-in second screen on the back of the unit to make it easier for staff to take a reading).

The Kern MPE even includes a built-in parent and child function, allowing the parent's weight to be taken before the scale is reset to zero and the parent and baby can be measured together. This allows babies to be safely cradled by their parents while being weighed, making it more comfortable for both the parent and his/her baby.

The second function present on the Kern MPE 250K100PM Floor Scale is the Hold function which allows unsteady patients to be weighed quickly and effectively. Over the course of a weighing period, the scale will determine and freeze an average weight measurement, thereby allowing the medical professional and/or carer to attend to the patient before recording the value.

A third function available on this scale is the BMI function, which aids the medical professional in determining a patient's weight category. A model which also includes a height rod, again making it easier for the professional to calculate a body mass index, is available here.

Finally, the Kern MPE 250K100PM Floor Scales with Stand has been designed with practicality and safety in mind.
