Kern IOC Industrial Platform Scales (3/6kg - 300/600kg) – Choice of Model

The Kern IOC Industrial Platform Scales are suitable for laboratory, production, quality control and commissioning applications. Their multiple communication interfaces also make them ideal for a variety of Industry 4.0 applications.

The Kern IOC Industrial Platform Scales are available in ten models with varying measurement ranges and weighing plate sizes.

These scales consist of a weighing plate and a display unit connected to the weighing platform via a cable. The weighing plates have been optimised for use in industrial environments and to this end are constructed from stainless steel and feature a painted steel base and silicone-coated aluminium load cell. They have an ingress protection rating of 65, protecting the scales from damage caused by dust and water splashes.

The Kern IOC Industrial Platform Scales also feature levelling feet and a level indicator to ensure accurate and reliable weighing results.

Measurements are viewable on the large, backlit LCD display with a 24mm digit height. In addition to conducting simple weight measurements, the Kern IOC Industrial Platform Scales also feature an array of measurement functions for various other applications. The Kern IOC Industrial Platform Scales include the following functions:

• Pieces-counting
• Totalising: the weights of similar items are added together and the total can be sent to print
• Percentage deviation: the difference between the actual weight and the target weight (100%) is displayed as a percentage
• Checkweighing: programmable upper and lower limits; when limits are breached the scales will issue an audible and visual signal; this function is ideal for sorting, dosing, dispensing and grading applications
• Hold: determines an average weight when weighing conditions are unsteady

Readings can be sent to print via the Kern IOC Industrial Platform Scales’ RS-232 interfaces and using a compatible Kern printer (NOT included). Measurements are printed with the date and time.

The Kern IOC Industrial Platform Scales also features Kern’s Communication Protocol (KCP) network. The KCP network allows the user to connect the scales to KCP compatible PCs, industrial control systems, and other digital systems facilitating the user’s ability to access and alter measurement parameters and functions remotely. This network, as well as the scales’ RS-232 interface, makes it easy to transfer data to tablets, laptops, PCs, networks, smartphones and printers, thereby adding to the scales' suitability for applications in the Industry 4.0 sector. Please note that the Kern IOC Industrial Platform Scales can be bought with WLAN, Ethernet, Bluetooth and USB interfaces. These must be ordered at the point of sale (see 'Accessories').
