The Kern FXN-N Bench Scales can be purchased with an OPTIONAL DAkkS calibration.

A DAkkS calibration is the German equivalent of a UKAS calibration. It is internationally recognised and ensures compliance with European standards.  

The Kern FXN-N Bench Scales differ from their sister products, the Kern FXN-M Bench Scales, in that they CANNOT be purchased with a Kern MIII verification, therefore, these scales are NOT suitable for commercial applications within EU member states.

These stainless-steel balances are HACCP-compliant and their smooth surfaces are easy-to-clean, making them suitable for applications across the food industry. Their compact, portable, lightweight design and battery operation makes these scales ideal for use in kitchens and sales offices. They can be easily transported and feature recessed grips on their undersides to help towards this end.  

Moreover, their robust construction and IP68 protection make the Kern FXN-N Bench Scales suitable for use in harsh environments such as industrial locations. In addition to this, these balances can be submerged in water without sustaining damage, again making them suitable for challenging environments, and ensuring that they can be comprehensively cleaned.

As well as being optimised for practicality, the Kern FXN-N Bench Scales have also been designed with convenience and efficiency in mind. To this end, the balances are able to determine and indicate a steady weight via the large, backlit, LCD display with a digit height of 25mm. It is possible to configure the Kern FXN-N Bench Scales to display the readings in the user’s desired measurement unit.

Moreover, the Kern FXN-N Bench Scales include the following measurement functions:

• Piece Counting
• Weighing tolerance: this function is supported by visual and audible alarms; it is particularly useful when portioning, dispensing and grading

Finally, the Auto-Off function will switch-off the Kern FXN-N Bench Scales after a prolonged period of idleness. This can help to extend the Kern FXN-N Bench Scales’ battery life to up to 200 hours (provided the backlight is turned-off during use).
