- Recipe: the total weight of the recipe is calculated by adding together the weights of the composite ingredients
- Percentage Determination: the difference between the object’s actual weight and the programmed target weight (100%) is calculated; this number is expressed as a percentage
- Hold: an average weight is calculated when weighing conditions are unstable
