The Kern ABJ Analytical Balances are single-cell weighing systems. They can be used to measure and document recipe ingredients. Each added ingredient is numbered; when information is sent to the printer, each ingredient is printed with its corresponding number and nominal weight, as well as the date and time. Information is exported to the printer (sold separately) automatically each time the balance is steady. The Kern ABJ Analytical Balances take approximately three seconds to reach stability under laboratory conditions.
In addition to measuring the weight of ingredients, these scales can be used to determine the % deviation from the target value and can be programmed to include high and low limits. When upper or lower limits are breached the Kern ABJ Analytical Balances will issue a visible alarm.
Measurements are indicated on the Kern ABJ Analytical Balances’ large, LCD displays with 14mm digits. Weights can be viewed in metric and non-metric units, and the user can switch from viewing weights to viewing piece/ reference quantities at the touch of a button.
In addition to user-selectable measurement units and display settings, the user can program the Kern ABJ Analytical Balances to include a range of filters and may set these instruments to high-stability mode. These additional features aid the user in determining correct dosages.
In order to attain accurate readings, the Kern ABJ Analytical Balances include an automatic internal adjustment which will ensure that the scale retains its high degree of accuracy in spite of temperature changes. This feature will be engaged automatically when a temperature change of greater than or equal to 2°C is detected, or can be programmed to switch-on every four hours to ensure the balances remain accurate. In addition to maintaining these instruments’ accuracies, the automatic internal adjustment feature ensures that the balances can be used in a variety of temperatures without compromising their performativity.
Further to this, the Kern ABJ Analytical Balances are supplied with protective working covers. These covers prevent contamination thereby helping to maintain the accuracy and reliability of the balances’ readings. These covers also expand the Kern ABJ Analytical Balances’ versatility-of-operation, ensuring that they can be used in less than sterile conditions.
Also adding to these products’ resilience is their shock-proof construction. The Kern ABJ Analytical Balances are highly-accurate. They are suitable for use in laboratories and in sectors such as the food industry.
