The Kane 9206 Quintox Flue Gas Analyser & Emissions Monitor is an affordable and adaptable flue emissions monitoring system. It has been independently tested by TÜV SUD to EN50379. This completely customisable flue gas analyser and monitoring system can be configured to meet the user’s requirements via the addition of optional sensors, probes and upgrades. Please call for further details and/or see the ‘Configuration’ section.
The Kane 9206 is suitable for measuring flue gases emitted by a number of fuel types including natural gas, butane, propane, LPG, 28 sec oil, 35 sec oil, wood pellets, user fuel and heavy oil. It combines electrochemical sensors with infrared technology to monitor hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and other flue gases. The Kane Flue Gas Analyser & Emissions Monitor can accommodate up to five electrochemical sensors, allowing it to measure carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, nitric oxide, sulphur dioxide, hydrogen sulphide and oxygen.
As standard, it can measure O₂ between 0% and 25% and CO (H₂ compensated) between 0 and 4000ppm. It is also capable of measuring pressure (0-150 mbar), efficiency (0-100%) and temperature (0-1100°C). Additionally, it can calculate CO₂ (0-20%), as well as differential pressure with pitot flow.
The Kane 9206 Quintox is equipped with a number of features designed to improve measurement accuracy, reliability and ease. Its main purge refreshes the sensors during long-term monitoring and prevents them from being over-ranged. Additionally, this feature allows the user to zero the sensors without withdrawing the probe from the flue pipe.
Furthermore, the Active Flow Control feature maintains measurement precision and reliability: it compensates for sample pressure fluctuations and filter blocking by adjusting the pump speed allowing the rate of the sample gas flow to be maintained.
This flue gas analyser can be configured to suit the user’s requirements, for instance, standard fuels may be selected by country and can be programmed to support user-defined ‘special’ fuels. It also features user-selectable languages.
The user is able to view up to fifteen lines of text or data on the graphical display. Up to 64 000 tests can be saved to the Kane 9206 Quintox Flue Gas Analyser & Emissions Monitor’s large internal memory along with GPS locations. This flue gas analyser also includes an integrated printer allowing the user to produce comprehensive reports quickly at the worksite. Additionally, reports can be outputted to an OPTIONAL IR printer allowing the user to print reports even when working away from the base unit.
Furthermore, compatibility with the free KANE LIVE software for PC and Android allows the user to monitor results remotely in real-time. The user can also view full reports via this app and can send reports to print using the free ‘Printer App for Android’.
It is possible to connect the analyser to a PC wirelessly or via USB. Moreover, the Kane 9206 handset is also connected to the base unit via a wireless link.
The Kane 9206 Quintox Flue Gas Analyser & Emissions Monitor is a completely configurable, comprehensive and cost-effective emissions monitoring system.

Step 4: Optional Upgrades
The Kane 9206 Quintox Flue Gas Analyser & Emissions Monitor can be purchased with any of the following OPTIONAL upgrades:
Optional Upgrades | Notes |
Sample Conditioning Unit KMDM110/230 |

Hi/Lo CO Protection Solenoid & Pump KHPURQ Must be used with Infra-Red Module KHC/Q |
Hi/Lo purge protection allows a standard ppm sensor to be fitted providing accurate readings at below 20ppm. When approaching over-range the solenoid operates & switches the gas flow to the electrochemical sensor from flue gas to fresh air. The pump is then used to flush out the CO sensor & protect it from over-range. CO readings continue to be taken using the CO channel of the Infra-Red Module KHC/Q. |
Pumped Water Trap WTS9206P |
The pumped water trap empties itself on a regular basis & so protects the analyser from condensate overflow, this allows long term unattended monitoring. |
Heater - Toxic Sensors KHSA |
Enables toxic sensors to operate effectively at below 0°C ambient temperature. The heater maintains the temperature at +5°C. |
