The Kane 458S Flue Gas Analysers can measure differential temperature and are able to calculate oxygen (O2), CO: CO2 ratios, excess air, and combustion efficiency. They also include a high-accuracy differential pressure meter (+/-80mbar), and a structured commissioning test for certifying boilers according to Technical Bulletin 143. Furthermore, these Kane Flue Gas Analysers are hydrogen (H2) ready (up to 20%) and compatible with natural gas, butane, LPG, light oil, wood pellets and propane flue types.
As a result, these Kane Flue Gas Analysers are suitable for the following applications (model dependent):
The Log & Print function allows the user to send pressure, let-by & tightness, combustion, temperature, CO build-up, and combustion test reports to print. Reports can be wirelessly printed with the engineer’s details using the supplied Kane IRP-2 Infrared Printer. As well as enabling wireless printing, the analysers’ integrated wireless modules facilitate communication with Kane’s Gas Checker and Kane Live apps.
The FGAs’ Data Hold function can be used to freeze the readings on the six-line display. The rotary dial can be used to access the required measurement parameters and functions quickly and easily.
These ergonomic and easy-to-use flue gas analysers have also been optimised for longevity. To this end, the Kane 458S include upgradeable sensor technology, purge pump protection to prevent accidental damage to the CO sensor, and CO and CO2 sensor protection.
The Kane Flue Gas Analysers are versatile, durable and easy-to-use FGAs suitable for a range of applications.

Inclusion of a Kane KAL1 Air/ Liquid Probe and Kane GLD450 Plus Gas Leak Detector means the Pro Kit can be used to detect combustible gases and fluids at concentrations as low as 50ppm. Additionally, the Kane KPCP Pipe Clamp Temperature Probes can be used to take flow and return temperature readings.
Please Note: Our 14-day money-back guarantee for flue gas analysers only applies if the tester is found to be faulty. This is due to the product being made to order by the manufacturer.
The Kane 458S is available as a standard instrument or as part of a Kit, Pro Kit, CPA1 Kit or Oil Kit. The table below offers an overview of the items included with each of these options.
