Depending on the model selected, the Kane 458S Flue Gas Analyser Kit can be used for the following applications:

• Test domestic gas, oil, biomass and some commercial appliances
• Install and service domestic oil and gas appliances
• Safety checks (measure the CO in rooms and around appliances)
• Combustion performance checks
• Combustion efficiency checks
• Flue draught

The Kane 458S Flue Gas Analyser is ergonomic and easy-to-use, with an integrated wireless module capable of direct carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide measurements (model dependent). These flue gas analysers also include carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO₂) sensor protection, purge pump protection to prevent accidental damage to the CO sensor, and the latest upgradeable sensor technology.

There are five versions of the Kit available, these kits differ in regards to the analyser sensor combination; please see the table below for further information.

The Kane Flue Gas Analysers are also capable of measuring differential temperature and can calculate oxygen (O₂), CO: CO₂ ratio, excess air, and combustion efficiency. These flue gas analysers also include a structured commissioning test (for certifying new boilers according to Technical Bulletin 143) and a high-accuracy differential pressure meter (+/- 80mbar).

Using the Log & Print function pressure, let-by & tightness, combustion, temperature, CO build-up, and commission test reports can be sent to print wirelessly. Reports can be printed with the user's details via the included Kane IRP-2 Infrared Printer. The integrated wireless module also facilitates communication between the 458S and Kane Gas Checker and Kane Live apps.

It also includes a Data Hold function which will freeze the readings on the six-line display. Accessing the required measurement parameters and functions is easy due to the inclusion of a rotary dial.

Compatible with natural gas, butane, LPG, light oil, wood pellets and propane, and are hydrogen (H₂) ready (up to 20%).
