HD Electric HD-WM-12 Watchman Work Area Voltage Detection Kits

There are four HD Electric HD-WM-12 Watchman Work Area Voltage Detection Kits available. Each of these kits includes twelve HD Electric Watchman Work Area Voltage Detectors and one large storage bag. These kits only differ regarding their brackets; please see the table below for further information.

The HD Electric Watchman Work Area Voltage Detector can be used to protect teams working with or near power lines and/or high voltage apparatus. These instruments utilise WAVi (Work Area Voltage Indication) technology to identify strong electric fields surrounding high voltage conductors and power distribution equipment.

When an electric field or an energised conductor is detected the HD Electric Watchman Work Area Voltage Detector will indicate this via spinning LED lights; absence of this indication also alerts the user to the lack of active power in the area.

To reassure teams that the HD Electric Watchman Work Area Voltage Detector is operational it will issue a ‘heartbeat’ pattern when actively checking for the presence of high voltage electric fields. Additionally, the power button can be held down to issue a self-test allowing the user to check the HD Electric Watchman Work Area Voltage Detector’s battery power as well as its functionality.

Finally, the HD Electric Watchman Work Area Voltage Detector is designed with powerful neodymium magnets facilitating the user’s ability to mount the instrument to a magnetic surface or any of the included brackets (kit dependent).

The HD Electric Watchman Work Area Voltage Detection Kits can be used to provide early warnings of energised conductors and electric fields, thereby improving the safety of teams working on or near power lines and high voltage equipment.
