HD Electric DVM-80UVK Universal Digital Voltmeter Kit

The HD Electric DVM-80UVK Universal Digital Voltmeter Kit includes the HD Electric DVM-80UVM Universal Digital Voltmeter, a lightweight and compact instrument with a 3.5’ coiled cord (extends to 12’) that functions as a dual-stick voltmeter and phasing set with Capacitive Test Point mode and Peak Hold mode, as well as a range of additional accessories including:

• 2x ASP-15/25 Underground Bushing Probes
• 1x CFT-35 Cable Fault Tester

This kit can be used to measure voltages between 5V and 80kV (when the HD Electric DVM-80UVM Universal Digital Voltmeter is used in conjunction with the R-80 Resistor Sticks) and is also suitable for a range of phasing operations. The HD Electric DVM-80UVK Universal Digital Voltmeter Kit is ideal for the following applications:

• Measure voltage and phase conductors on overhead and underground systems
• Take measurements on secondary voltages from 5V
• Conduct measurements on primary voltages up to 80kV
• Check whether multiple conductors are in-phase or out-of-phase
• Verify that conductors are deenergised prior to grounding
• Use the Capacitive Test Point mode to perform measurements on elbow points
• Use the included CFT-35 Cable Fault Tester and ASP15/25 Bushing Probes to locate defective cables
• Discharge equipment and underground cables that hold capacitive charges

Measurements acquired using this kit are indicated via the HD Electric DVM-80UVM Universal Digital Voltmeter’s 3.5-digit (with a decimal point), backlit, digital display. Readings are shown in kilovolts to the following resolutions:

• 0.005 – 1.999 range with 1V resolution
• 2.00 – 19.00 range with 10V resolution
• 19.0 -40.0 range with 100V resolution

The user can view the peak voltage readings by engaging the Peak Hold mode. Furthermore, when the HD Electric DVM-80UVM Universal Digital Voltmeter is placed in Capacitive Test Point Mode (when measuring voltages and phasing on elbow test points) the system voltage is indicated via the display.

The HD Electric DVM-80UVM Universal Digital Voltmeter is able to measure line-to-line and line-to-ground voltages to an accuracy and repeatability of 1% due to the integrated Phase Accurate Technology. The functionality and accuracy of this voltmeter/ phaser can be checked using the supplied HD Electric PT-5000B Proof Tester® Voltmeter/ Phaser Tester.

To prolong the HD Electric DVM-80UVM Universal Digital Voltmeter's functionality, it includes an Auto Shut Off function designed to preserve the life of its standard 9V lithium/ alkaline battery. This cell is contained within an easy-to-change battery case (tools are not required).
