HD Electric DigiVolt-80T Digital Phasing Voltmeter Description

As mentioned above, the HD Electric DigiVolt-80T Digital Phasing Voltmeter is a compact, accurate, resilient voltmeter and phasing instrument. It is capable of measuring voltages between 50V and 40kV; this range can be extended up to 80kV via the addition of add-on resistors. Its two-stick design makes it suitable for both overhead and underground applications.

This instrument is capable of measuring both AC and DC voltages: the HD Electric DigiVolt-80T Digital Phasing Voltmeter can perform DC measurements through 1000Hz AC RMS. It can perform measurements from line-to-line and line-to-ground as well as at elbow test points: the HD Electric DigiVolt-80T Digital Phasing Voltmeter’s Capacitive Test Point mode enables it to conduct measurements and phasing at elbow test points. When this mode is active, the decimal point on the display will blink. The Capacitive Test Point mode can be activated and deactivated by pressing the 'ON' button.

Additionally, the inclusion of Phase Accurate Technology ensures that line-to-line and line-to-ground voltage measurements are repeatable and accurate to 1% of the reading. Measurements are indicated on the HD Electric DigiVolt-80T Digital Phasing Voltmeter’s auto-ranging, 3.5-digit, backlit, LCD. This display is easy to read in visually challenging conditions, for example excessively bright or dark environments.

The HD Electric DigiVolt-80T Digital Phasing Voltmeter is simple to operate: it does not include a range selector switch or settings. It does include a low battery feature and Auto Shutoff function designed to conserve battery life, as well as a Flush Mount On switch to prevent field damage. Additionally, it is equipped with a coiled connecting cord, integrated universal splines for standard hotstick attachment, and is supplied with two hook-style overhead brass probes. This compact, rugged and lightweight digital voltmeter and phaser is also provided with a carrying case and a standard 9V lithium/ alkaline battery.

The HD Electric DigiVolt-80T Digital Phasing Voltmeter is a practical, portable, precise phasing instrument and digital voltmeter suitable for a variety of applications including:

• Measuring voltage and phase conductors on overhead and underground systems
• Checking that conductors are de-energised prior to grounding
• Ascertaining whether multiple conductors are in-phase or out-of-phase
• Discharging underground cables and equipment holding capacitive charges
• Conducting phasing and measurements on elbow test points

The HD Electric DigiVolt-80T Digital Phasing Voltmeter can also be used with an HD Electric Cable Fault Locator (OPTIONAL) to check underground cables for faults.
