Three HD Electric DDPM-40 Double Vision® Dual Display Voltmeter & Phaser Kits are available; these kits differ in regards to their included items, please see the ‘What’s Included?’ section for further details. Each of these kits includes an HD Electric DDPM-40 Double Vision® Dual Display Voltmeter & Phaser, and, therefore, can be used to measure voltages between 5V and 43kV and are suitable for phasing operations. The HD Electric DDPM-40 Double Vision® Dual Display Voltmeter & Phaser is suitable for testing both overhead and underground systems, please see the description below for further information.

HD Electric DDPM-40 Double Vision® Dual Display Voltmeter & Phaser Description

As mentioned above, this instrument is capable of functioning as a voltmeter and a phasing set. The HD Electric DDPM-40 Double Vision® Dual Display Voltmeter & Phaser consists of two portable, precise and practical wireless instruments. When used individually these instruments function as voltmeters and are capable of measuring AC and DC voltages between 5V and 43kV line-to-line.

Together these instruments are suitable for a variety of phasing operations and can communicate over distances of up to 100 ft (30m). The HD Electric DDPM-40 Double Vision® Dual Display Voltmeter & Phaser will clearly indicate the phase angle, as well as the leading or lagging phase.

All of the HD Electric DDPM-40 Double Vision® Dual Display Voltmeter & Phaser ’s testing capabilities are accessible via a single button, ensuring that it is both versatile and simple to use. The user is able to select from the following modes:

• Line-to-line measurement
• Lint-to-ground measurements
• Capacitive test points
• Phase angle
• Real-time reporting
• Peak Hold reporting

Measurements are accurate and repeatable to 1%; they are indicated via the HD Electric DDPM-40 Double Vision® Dual Display Voltmeter & Phaser ’s two oversized LED displays. These displays are easy-to-read even at a great distance and in bright conditions.

The HD Electric DDPM-40 Double Vision® Dual Display Voltmeter & Phaser ’s displays automatically synchronise during phasing operations, ensuring that the voltage measurement is indicated on both units. As these instruments are capable of communicating and syncing wirelessly over distances as large as 100ft (30m), the HD Electric DDPM-40 Double Vision® Dual Display Voltmeter & Phaser is ideal for taking voltage measurements and identifying phases across switches.

Also adding to the HD Electric DDPM-40 Double Vision® Dual Display Voltmeter & Phaser ’s versatility and adaptability is its dual hotstick connections which facilitate attachment to universal spline and shotgun stick connections.

The HD Electric DDPM-40 Double Vision® Dual Display Voltmeter & Phaser is also equipped with a heavy-duty grounding cord and an ultra-light, high-strength, durable, moulded housing. This voltmeter/ phase meter is compact and weather-resistant making it ideal for applications in tight spaces with minimum approach distances; it is also suitable for storm duty during disaster relief operations.

Finally, the HD Electric DDPM-40 Double Vision® Dual Display Voltmeter & Phaser includes an Auto Shut Off function designed to conserve battery life; it also features a battery monitor allowing the user to see when the two 9V lithium/ alkaline batteries will need replacing. These batteries are enclosed within an easy-to-change battery case which does not require tools to remove or replace.
