The Hanna HI-96821 is a portable, digital sodium chloride refractometer. It measures sodium chloride concentration in aqueous solutions used in food preparation. The refractive index of the sample enables the device to determine salt content. Importantly, it is not intended for seawater salinity measurements but is suitable for various food products.
Ideal for testing a broad array of food and beverage products such as salad dressings, cheeses, condiments, pickles, and even energy drinks or soups. After performing a simple calibration with distilled or deionised water, users can measure salt concentration in seconds.
