These Hanna Instruments colourimeters measure ammonia levels in freshwater aquariums. They are also ideal for water quality testing, environmental studies, and educational use. The single-button operation includes an auto power-off feature after 10 minutes of inactivity.
The colourimeters utilise the Nessler Method, following ASTM D1426-93 guidelines. By adding the supplied reagent to the water sample, a reaction occurs, producing a yellow tint. The device then measures this colour change and displays the ammonia concentration in ppm on its digital screen.
Three models are available. A low testing range of 0.00 to 3.00 ppm range, a medium testing range of 0.00-9.99 ppm, and a high ammonia testing range of 0.0 to 99.9 ppm. Each model is also supplied with reagents.
