The Gastec MK5, a portable Flame Ionisation Detector (FID) also known as a Flame ioniser monitor (FIM), delivers exceptional performance in detecting hydrocarbon gases at low concentrations. It swiftly and reliably identifies gas leaks while providing traceable surveys through its built-in GPS and data logging features. It is widely used on landfill sites and by utility companies to detect methane gas effectively.
The GES Gastec MK5 sensor can detect minute levels of hydrocarbons, measuring from 1 to 10,000 ppm of methane in under 2 seconds. It's highly portable, allowing a shoulder-carry for easy positioning around valves and flanges. Plus, it swiftly identifies gas leaks, even from distribution pipes beneath main roads or highways.
Supplied with a refillable hydrogen cylinder (60 hours use), rechargeable lithium-ion batteries (22 hours use), angled probe assembly, multi-region mains charger, carry strap, quick start guide, user guide, filters and hard carry case.
The GES Gastec MK5 is available in eight different versions with 100ml/400ml full or empty cylinders in different languages, EU and EU/UK options.
