The Gas-Tec MK4 FID excels in detecting hydrocarbon gases at extremely low concentrations. Employing Flame Ionisation Detection (FID) or Flame Ioniser Monitoring (FIM) technology sets the standard for rapid and cost-effective gas leak detection. It is commonly employed by utility companies and on landfill sites to detect methane gas efficiently.
The MK4 gas detector is user-friendly, portable, and swiftly detects gas leaks in under 2 seconds. When mounted on the optional Trigger unit, it transforms into a high-speed survey instrument, capable of operating at speeds of up to 30 km/h.
Supplied with a refillable hydrogen cylinder (60 hours use), rechargeable lead acid batteries (15 hours use), angled probe, battery charger, DIN socket for battery charging and data output to a chart recorder, filters and carrying case.
Three cylinder types are available to choose from, an empty 100ml cylinder - EU life span (15hrs), an empty 400ml cylinder - EU/UK life span(60hrs), or a full 400ml cylinder - EU/UK life span(60hrs).
