Metrel's GammaPAT is designed with ease of use in mind. Perfect for established PAT testers and suitable for PAT testing beginners thanks to help diagrams and simple user modes, the GammaPAT ensures that testing can be configured with minimal effort from the user and speeds up the PAT testing process.

One of the most useful functions of this PAT testing device is its autosequencing functionality. This mode automatically recognises the type of appliance plugged into the GammaPAT, configures the necessary PAT testing procedures to evaluate the appliance and runs them in sequence. This means that even the most basic of users can easily configure a test, and built-in help diagrams are also included to show exactly how an appliance should be connected to the tester.

The GammaPAT is also designed to carry out all testing as defined in the IET Code of Practice and can be used to perform earth continuity resistance, insulation resistance, substitute leakage current, functional and visual inspections, IEC cord polarity testing and can also calculate voltage levels  via a built-in true-RMS voltage meter.

Once testing is completed with the GammaPAT the tester uses both on-screen direct test reading indication of the result and also uses red and green LED indicators (built into either side of the screen) to quickly alert the user to the status of the test.

Please note that the GammaPAT Lite does not come with memory and cannot be downloaded. Metrel also make the GammaPAT Pro, a PAT testing instrument that comes with this functionality.

It is possible to upgrade the Lite to a Pro model for an extra charge. Please let us know if this is a requirement when you order your tester and we'll be happy to oblige. Alternatively you can also take a look at GammaPAT Bundle 2, which comes with the necessary upgrades to turn a Lite GammaPAT into a Pro downloadable PAT tester.
