Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Camera
The Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras are high-definition infrared imagers that can be used to inspect electrical and mechanical systems and equipment in order to identify sources of potential issues, such as overheating or failing components, before they become critical. Early diagnosis reduces the downtime and associated costs required to address these faults.
The ergonomic, adaptable design of the Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras coupled with its sophisticated thermal technology makes it particularly well suited for inspecting apparatus in awkward-to-reach locations.
Thermal Imaging Technology
The Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras are equipped with a 640 x 480-pixel IR resolution, this can be increased to a 1280 x 960-pixel resolution using the SuperResolution feature (in the Fluke Connect SmartView Desktop Software, available as a free download from Fluke) which offers 4x the pixel data.
Each of the Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras is supplied with a standard IR lens constructed from diamond-turned germanium with speciality coatings designed to provide the best optics for transmitting energy in order to create high-quality thermal images.
The Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras are also equipped with a high thermal sensitivity allowing them to detect and display slight temperature differences. These IR imagers have a temperature range of -20°C to +1000°C and can measure temperatures to an accuracy of ±2°C/ 2%.
These cameras have a field-of-view of 34° (H) x 24° (V) and a minimum focus distance of 15cm. The Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras have been designed to capture infrared images of objects located at various distances away from the imager, as such, they are equipped with a number of focus functions to ensure the greatest clarity.
LaserSharp™ Auto Focus
The Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras include an integrated laser distance meter designed to calculate the distance of the camera from the specified target. This value is indicated on the Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras’ displays and their focuses are adjusted accordingly. As a result, the specified target is captured in the greatest possible clarity. Please see the video below for further details.
MultiSharp™ Focus
The MultiSharp™ Focus reduces the possibility of misdiagnosis by ensuring the images and targets are in-focus throughout the Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras’ fields-of-view. This feature is particularly useful when capturing images with targets located both close to and far away from the camera. It captures multiple images and then combines these to create a single, sharp thermal picture in which all the specified subjects are in focus.
The MultiSharp Focus can be used when targets are blurry and is most effective when combined with the SuperResolution function available in the Fluke Connect SmartView Desktop Software (available for free download from Fluke).
Fluke Infrared Smart Lenses (Optional)
As mentioned above, the Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras are designed to capture images of targets at varying distances. As such, they can be combined with Fluke’s wide-angle, and 2x and 4x telephoto Infrared Smart Lenses to capture different sized targets at various distances in a range of environmental conditions.
These easy-to-use Smart Lenses expand the scopes-for-use of the Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras and can be used interchangeably; they are automatically recognised by the IR imagers and so do not require a calibration upon connection.
Ergonomic Design
The standard IR lens supplied with the Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras can be rotated up to 240°, allowing the user to adapt the imager in order to capture pictures of awkwardly located targets.
Thermal media can be viewed via the Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras’ 5.7” (landscape), LCD displays. The ability to rotate the screen also allows the user to accommodate challenging environmental conditions such as glare, thereby ensuring that he/she is always able to view captured IR media clearly.
Further to this, the rugged design of the Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras makes them suitable for industrial environments. Plus, its rotational adaptability ensures that it can be held comfortably throughout the inspection process, whilst its neck and hand straps make the Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras suitable for use over prolonged periods of time.
All the Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras’ features, functions and settings are accessible via the intuitive, touchscreen interface.
Edit and Analyse Thermal Images
In addition to advanced thermal technology and flexible design, the Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras are equipped with a number of features and functions designed to enable in the field analysis of IR images on the camera.
The thermographer may alter the IR image’s colour palette in order to view specific temperature differences more clearly. He/she may choose from the following eight colour palettes in standard and ultra-contrast versions:
- Ironbow
- Blue-Red
- High Contrast
- Amber
- Amber Inverted
- Hot Metal
- Grayscale
- Grayscale Inverted
The operator may also adjust the image’s emissivity and apply colour alarms and markers to the image. Applying a colour alarm ensures that the Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras will alert the user when temperatures outside of the pre-set norm are detected. Additionally, through the application of rectangular box markers, the user can determine the minimum, maximum and average temperatures for a particular area on the image.
Furthermore, via the touchscreen interface the user can access settings such as continuous level and span adjustment, image sharpening and a filter mode in order to improve the sharpness of thermal images.
IR-Fusion™ Blending Technology
Also improving the detail of captured IR images is the IR-Fusion™ function which combines IR images with visible-light images captured by the integrated 5MP digital camera. Images can be combined to varying degrees providing the user with detailed thermal pictures.
Finally, the Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras are also equipped with an IR-PhotoNotes™ function allowing the thermographer to attach notes and voice annotations to thermal images. Thermal media and data can be saved to the supplied 4GB microSD memory card.
Fluke Connect Compatibility
As mentioned above, the Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras are compatible with Fluke’s Fluke Connect SmartView Desktop Software (available as a free download from Fluke). This program can be used to view thermal footage streamed from the Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras to the user’s PC, allowing him/her to monitor processes remotely.
Additionally, this software program can be used to operate the Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras remotely. It can also be used to conduct trend analysis and organise saved thermal media and data in accordance with their corresponding assets. This information can also be uploaded to the Fluke Cloud in the user’s preferred format and/or may be included in customisable, professional reports created using the Fluke SmartView Desktop Software.
These cameras are also compatible with Fluke’s MATLAB® and LabVIEW® software programs, making the Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras suitable for research and development applications.
As these cameras are Fluke Connect enabled, they can be used in conjunction with the user’s smartphone or tablet with the Fluke Connect app installed. He/she can wirelessly sync data and thermal images to the app; this information may be attached to asset records and/or can be analysed, edited and incorporated into customisable reports to be exported via email. The Fluke Connect App can also be used to upload data to the Fluke Cloud.
The Fluke TiX580 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras are flexible, versatile and precise high-definition infrared imagers optimised for capturing crisper, clearer thermal images and accurate temperature data.
