The Fluke TiX501 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras are infrared imagers with an IR resolution of 640 x 480-pixels. They can be used to inspect targets of varying distances away from the camera and prove particularly useful when checking electrical and mechanical systems for defects such as failing components. Early diagnosis of small problems prevents them from becoming critical issues and significantly reduces the costs and downtime required to address the fault.
With the exception of different frame rates, the Fluke TiX501 models are the same. They both have an IR resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and a temperature range of -20°C to +650°C with an accuracy of ±2°C/ 2%. Each of these cameras features advanced thermal sensitivity and is able to detect and display subtle temperature differences.
Supplied with a standard IR lens constructed from diamond-turned germanium with speciality coatings thereby ensuring that they are equipped with the best optics for transmitting energy in order to create high-quality IR images. These cameras have a 34° (H) x 24° (V) field-of-view and a minimum focus distance of 15cm.
Fluke’s Infrared Smart Lenses (NOT included) can be used interchangeably with the TiX501 cameras to capture clear, in-focus images despite environmental conditions and target location and/or size.
These lenses do not require calibration on attachment as the cameras will automatically recognise the Fluke Infrared Smart Lenses when connected. They are compatible with Fluke’s telephote, macro and wide-angle Smart Infrared Lenses.
Also working to ensure that targets both close to and far away are captured in the greatest clarity, is the LaserSharp™ Auto Focus features. Using an integrated laser distance meter, the imager calculates the distance to the target and indicates this on the display. The thermal imager will then adjust its focus to accommodate this distance, thereby ensuring that the specified target is captured. Please see the video section for further information.
Constructed for use in rugged environments. They include a 5.7-inch (landscape), LCD display and their lenses can be rotated up to 240°, allowing the user to hold the camera in a position that is both comfortable and practical for capturing images of overhead objects, as well as taking IR pictures over, under and around difficult-to-access targets.
The relevant settings, features and functions can be accessed via the touchscreen interface.
The Fluke TiX501 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras include a multitude of features and functions optimised for editing and analysing thermal images on the camera, in the field, and in real-time.
The user is able to alter the colour palette in order to view the heat differences relevant to his/her application more clearly and obviously. The user can choose from the following eight colour palettes in both standard and ultra-contrast versions: Ironbow, Blue-Red, High Contrast, Amber, Amber Inverted, Hot Metal, Grayscale and Grayscale Inverted.
The thermographer may also alter the image’s emissivity as well as apply colour alarms and markers to the IR image. Via the addition of rectangular boxes, the thermographer can determine the minimum, maximum and average temperatures for that particular area of the image.
Additionally, the IR-PhotoNotes™ function allows the user to attach notes and voice annotations to IR images. Images can be saved to the supplied 4GB microSD card.
These cameras are also equipped with an integrated 5MP digital camera. As a result, using the patented IR-Fusion™ blending technology, the user can combine IR images with visible-light images to varying degrees thereby producing thermal images containing a greater level of detail.
In addition to capturing infrared images, the Fluke TiX501 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras can be used to stream footage. The user can monitor processes using the Fluke TiX501 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras’ video capture and streaming capabilities.
IR footage may be viewed via a PC using the Fluke Connect SmartView Desktop Software (available for free download from Fluke). This software can also be used to control the Thermal Imaging Cameras remotely from a PC and allows the user to organise thermal media and data in accordance with the relevant asset. It is also suitable for conducting trend analysis.
Additionally, as these IR imagers are Fluke Connect-enabled, they can be used with a compatible smartphone or tablet with the Fluke Connect app installed. Images and data wirelessly synced to the Fluke Connect App can be attached to asset records, as well as edited, analysed and organised into reports which may be exported to clients and colleagues via email. It is also possible to upload thermal media and data to the Fluke Cloud using this app. Please see the video below for a quick overview of the Fluke Connect App.
The Fluke TiX501 High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Cameras are versatile, adaptable and reliable high-definition infrared cameras suitable for capturing detailed, sharp, clear thermal media for troubleshooting, industrial maintenance and building diagnostics applications.
